PGA Teaching Seminars Stage

David Hearn

David Hearn is a professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He has also played on the Nationwide Tour, Canadian Tour and the Asian Tour. Hearn was born in Brampton, Ontario where he played out of the Brantford Golf and Country Club as an amateur.  He attended the University of Wyoming, where he played on the golf team. He was a member of the winning Canadian team at the 2001 Four Nations Cup tournament. Hearn turned professional late in 2001. He was named the Canadian Tour Rookie of the Year in 2002. David has 2 2nd Place Finishes, and 23 Top 10 Finishes.

Kevin Haime

Kevin Haime is owner of the Kevin Haime Golf Centre a world class practice centre in Eastern Ontario and the Kevin Haime Golf School one of Canada’s busiest and most successful golf schools. He has been teaching golf now for over 32 years and prides himself on his ability to improve golfers of any skill level. Kevin is a proud PGA of Canada member and  has been named  Canadian National Teacher of the Year (2000) and the  Canadian Junior Leader of the Year (2017). When he’s not on the teaching tee Kevin is promoting the game on social media or while hosting his 2 hour call in golf show on TSN1200 Radio. Tee It Up has been helping and informing golfers for more than 3 decades now.

Jon Mills

Jon Mills officially took over the men’s golf program as head coach in July 2019 after long-time head coach Herb Page announced his retirement. The former Canadian professional golfer and former Golden Flash,  Mills ’02 came back to his alma mater to serve as the Associate Head Men’s Golf Coach in January of 2016. Mills was a member of the Web.Com Tour from 2002-2015 and was on the PGA Tour from 2006-2008.   Mills claimed his first professional win on the Canadian Tour in 2003 en route to becoming the leading money-winner on the Tour that year.  Mills also captured two titles on the Web.Com Tour, including the 2005 Canadian PGA Championship and the 2007 Boise Open. He also qualified for three US Opens.

Lindsey Knowlton

Lindsay Knowlton has a long history in golf. Her dad got her interested in the sport at a young age (because he needed a friend to play with!). Shortly after taking up the game, Lindsay got the “golf bug”. She attended The Ohio State University on a golf scholarship where she was voted captain for the 2004-2005 seasons, and also earned All American honors. Lindsay was a 3 year member of Canada’s National Team and a Silver medalist at the 2004 World Championships. Lindsay has also recorded 3 holes in one to date. Lindsay is passionate about building community and helping women feel more confident on and off of the links. Lindsay is a member of the PGA of Canada.

Nathane L. Jackson
Golf Strength & Conditioning Coach and Nutritionist

Nathane helps golfers reduce pain and hit bombs by becoming STRONGER, FASTER and more MOBILE. He’s a veteran health and wellness authority with two decades of experience as a personal trainer, strength & conditioning coach and nutritionist.In addition to helping clients shed body fat, build strength and improve performance he shares his knowledge as a writer and featured expert for numerous television and radio shows, and print publications.He’s a former University basketball player, physique competitor, and fitness model who can now be found gripping and ripping his way through his local golf course.

Danny King

The Performance Academy at Magna is by lead by Danny King, a top-50 golf instructor and 4-time teacher of the year nominee. Danny is one of Canada’s most distinguished teaching professionals and players, named 2016 Canadian PGA Player of the Year. With a coaching philosophy that goes beyond the golf swing, focusing on mental coaching, nutrition and fitness to help maximize performance.  Danny and his team have developed a variety of programs year round to assist golfers at all levels. Danny is a 5-time Ontario PGA Champion, 5-time Canadian PGA Champion and currently all time Ontario PGA money leader. Danny is currently ranked #9 by the PGA of Canada.

Evan Bett

Evan Bett is the Founder/Owner of SwingFit and Head Professional at Pine View Golf Course. As a PGA of Canada Professional, TPI and CHEK Certified Golf Performance Specialist as well a Holistic Lifestyle Coach, Evan has as much knowledge and experience with the game as he does the interplay between mobility, movement and mechanics.


Derek MacDonald 

Derek is a well recognized teaching professional, currently the lead Teaching Professional at Royal Ottawa Golf Club, who uses many technologies, such as TrackMan and BodiTrak, to help his students track and understand their improvements to better their game. He has worked with students from the beginner junior level, NCAA Division 1 golfers, and all the way through to golfers who have played the Mackenzie Tour/PGA Tour Canada, and the PGA Tour.

Bradlee Ryall

Bradlee is one of Canada’s top teaching professionals and a two time PGA of Ontario Award winner and in 2014 his academy won the prestigious “Junior Golf Facility of the Year” award presented by Golf Ontario. Bradlee has taught globally in Portugal, Spain, and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. He spent 7 seasons at the David Leadbetter Golf Academies at IMG in Bradenton, Florida and at Champions Gate in Orlando. Bradlee currently specializes in developing competitive junior golfers and has one of the country’s top programs that helps provide his students a pathway to receiving a U.S College Scholarship. Dave Kalil

Dave is known as Ottawa’s Piano Man since 1976.  Dave most recently before Covid has been playing at Senshouse every Saturday night and at the Marshes Golf Club every Thursday. Dave joined the PGA of Canada in ‘95 and has been the Head Teaching Pro at the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club for the past 19 years. Dave was named Ottawa Zone Teacher of the Year in 2018 and has won many PGA of Ottawa Sr. Events.
